WIC offers fruit, veggie vouchers starting Oct. 1

In the first changes to the program in nearly 30 years, the federally funded Women, Infants and Children supplemental nutrition program will allow participants to receive vouchers for the purchase of fresh, frozen or canned fruits and vegetables starting Oct. 1.
