Aug. 4 is the deadline to qualify for discounted early registration rates for the 2008 Apple Crop Outlook & Marketing Conference, according to a news release from the U.S. Apple Association, Vienna, Va.

The conference, set for the Ritz-Carlton Chicago Aug. 21-22, will feature the unveiling of critical apple crop data, educational sessions with consumer marketing experts and networking opportunities, the association said.

The gathering will feature experts from key global apple markets, including Canada, China, Europe, Mexico and the Southern Hemisphere, who will examine continued growth in these markets and the collective impact on U.S. marketing efforts and the bottom line.

Some of the industry's highest awards will be presented, including The Packer/The Grower publications' Apple Person of the Year.
